Creating some space. |
Week of September 4, 2006 At the beginning of the year, I made a plan to loose lots of weight, have lots of fun and pay of a large portion of my student loan debt. I have met none of those goals. Work has me stressed because I have been working late hours in order to bring this project in, and we are still two months behind. Life has me stressed because, despite the extra money that has come from my overtime, I have hardly made a dent in my debt due to medical problems. Right at the beginning of this year I had an emergency trip to the hospital that was not covered by my insurance. I also had surgery that I came heavily out of pocket for. There will be no trip abroad this year, and I am quite cranky about it. I am also cranky because my physical ailments have taken their toll on my social life. It's hard to be out having fun when you are in pain, and I definitely have physical limitations that control the amont of activity my body can handle during the day. Lastly, I am cranky because my sinus issues and foot issues have canceled out just about every form of exercise I enjoy. I am limited to yoga, and I hate yoga. Plus, it is harder to loose weight when one is so limited in one's workouts. |
